Feng Shui and Balance
It never ceases to amaze me how the patterns in nature are so beautifully balanced. Dark and light, soft and hard, symmetry and randomness existing at once together and apart to complement each other. Feng Shui teaches that when one aspect of your environment is out of sorts, it will show up in a corresponding life area. As human beings, we require both reliable patterns and creative ideas to flourish and thrive.
Do you find yourself spending too much time at work – or play? Are you becoming too rigid in your opinions? Feeling squeezed for time or simply not motivated? Look around you to see what might have fallen out of balance. Take a cue from nature, and introduce some of the element that is depleted. Water soothes, wood expands, fire illuminates, earth nurtures and metal refines.
Try making a few small adjustments in your environment then observe what happens. A well-placed fountain of moving water can get things moving in your career, a candle spark a fire in your relationships and metal chimes or bells bring clarity to muddled decisions. Just as yin yields to yang and day to night, change is inevitable.
Wishing you good ch’i,
