Statue of Kuan Yin

Today is one of several days throughout the year used to commemorate the Chinese Bodhisattva of Compassion – Kuan Yin. One of the oldest and most revered deities in ancient Chinese temples, she is said to be the protector of women, children and all who are sick, lost or troubled.  Kuan Yin is the manifestation of benevolence, mercy and love and a guiding figure in my Feng Shui practice. Her name translates “one who hears the cries of the world.”

You might wish to place an image of Kuan Yin in your home or business for protection, or carry one with you when you travel.

Wishing you good ch’i,
