March 5 begins the period of time in the ancient Chinese Solar calendar known as “Insects Stir.” The weather and earth are warming while dormant plant life, animals and insects stir to the yang energy of spring. This two-week period (March 5 – 20) leading up to the Spring Equinox represents a transition from sleep to awakening and our earliest efforts to begin anew.
Before growth comes awareness, inquiry and initiative. Generation and advancement are the end results of these endeavors.
We bid adieu to the Tiger month and welcome the gentle Rabbit at this time. If you found the Tiger’s approach too aggressive in February, this will be a good time to rest, gather your energy and prepare to grow.
